Today people use phrases such as, "I love your shirt, shoes, etc." or "Love kills slowly." Could this really be what people believe? People use love in almost every sentence. It is used randomly and casually. This is what I think Humanities biggest flaw is. If they really knew what true love is then they wouldn't use it in "I love this song." Love of and from Christ is something that is amazing and beautiful, powerful yet gentle. It makes reality dreamy, and dreams reality. It fills your heart and nothing can extinguish it. It is a feeling that really is "outta this world".
"Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous, love is not pompous, it doesn't seek its own interests, it's not quick-tempered, it does not broad over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things. Love never fails." ^-^
yeah i see what your saying now because alot of people always use love in the wrong way.
ReplyDeleteTrue love is not that easy to define. Love is a very strong word and used in very different ways. Everyone has a distinct meaning and opinions about it. But yours is even better. You feel like it's an extraordinary word that is so sacred that it should be used properly and the one who said it should truly mean it.
